Master mind discussions,
sample of Cagora - emailmarketing.cagora.com - getting traffic to local business sites (ie,
Branson, MO), using video for promoting affiliate product
sales, deciding what content to giveaway for lead
generation, expert positioning, and relationship building... and
what to sell ... and how to do this (this is an ongoing theme,
listen to some of the past few mastermind calls with Mark, and some
of the Gold Lunch With Mark calls too), note from Mark: Authority Network is not just
building sites that link to one another, it is not just posting
articles on directories or blog sites - it is building your
Authority Status using all of those type of sites, but actually
becoming THE expert on that site for your topic, and then leading
people back to your site. There is a small but very powerful
difference. You should be spending more time working on the network rather than the site (listen to
some of
the past Gold LWM calls for more details on this).

Using Audacity to smooth out volume levels of
teleconference recordings where two or more people are recorded at
different volume levels (get
Audacity - it's free) (for
Mac)
Make your initial recording peak at -6 or -3 dB
If you have noise in the silent spots, use the
Effect>Noise Removal function
Highlight a "silent" section, click on
Effect>Noise Removal, click on Get Noise Profile, click on the track
selector (click just above Solo at the left), click on Effect>Noise
Removal, set the slider two notches from the left (or more if you
want), click Preview to see how it sounds, and then click Remove Noise
To smooth out volume
Mark a short section where the speaking is the
softest
Click Effect>Amplify and write down the number
that's in the first box and cancel
Click on the track selector (click just above
Solo at the left)
Click Effect>Hard Limiter - use the number you
wrote down as a negative number, you may want to increase it by 4 dB
for increased smoothing effect,
so if your number was 14, then try -18 in this first box, use
1.00 for the 2nd box, and 0.100 for the 3rd box, click Okay to do it
Click Effect>Amplify - set the 2nd box (new
peak amplitude) to no more than
-3 dB (-6 or -4 can also be good, I like -4) -- click Okay to do it

Content on Website or purpose of
website - sales vs. lead capture - determine primary reason for
webpage - leads or sales - funnel approach to marketing -
Know you, Like You, Trust You - possible membership site - Content of website - Expose
problem - tell them what they need to know and then sell a product
that helps them solve the problem - some traffic generation ideas
Storage space for Resell Rights -
affiliate products - redirect using script from ISS membership benefits,
advantages of having your own server space - other people's spam may
cause your info to be blocked, you get what you pay for in Hosting
service - as bandwidth increases so should sales to afford expanding, he
more you can control server space, the better - OK to rent space at
first but less control at what host owner may or may not do.
Networking - importance of going to
live conferences like ISS,
others are there to help clarify, bring out more of what you want to do
using the internet to market, masterminding with others - learning from
others that are having a mastermind/hotseat session, ask questions when
at a conference - don't be shy -introduce yourself, you might find
future JV partners - combining strengths and weaknesses
Regarding Don's webpage width (from
Mark) - I am listening the
conference call from last night. Set your table width to 700 or 740
pixels, instead of 90%. If you set it to percent, then the page width
will change depending on the resolution settings of the visitor, thus
changing the whole look of your page. By setting the table width to a
specific pixel width, your page will look exactly like you see it when
you create it, for all visitors. Those with 800 wide screens will have
just a little background on the sides, those with 1024 wide will have a
little more background showing.

you do not have to do you show at the same time everytime, you
can schedule anytime you want, even on short notice (the day
of), however it's better for your listeners (at least those that
do follow your show and listen live) that you do have a schedule
and stick to it -- the important thing is to do your show
because they are archived for later listening and you will get
tons more people listening to the archived version than
listening live.

Using PPC to get local business
- during the discussion of PPC for local
business it was mentioned that Google has a setting in the adwords account
where you can target geo locations -- watchout for this -- when I check my IP
address for it's geolocal position, it says I am about 80-90 miles from where
I really am, so if someone was buying traffic clicks in that geo area, then
they could easily be wasting money on clicks that would never turn into local
business -- so good keyword selection that includes city and zip will give you
possibly more targeted and cost effective campaigns

The Google Adword Title Line Trick:
Basic Format is this... {keyword:sales
line}
This can go in your title of the ad when
you create it.
What will show is the words that people
type into the search box.
If what they type is longer than 25
characters, the words that you have used as “Sales Line” will show up as the title
of your ad. Such as using Dog Jewelry in the phrase above:
{keyword:Dog Jewelry}
Your title would show as – Dog Jewelry –
if they typed in -- big dog jewelry in Mississippi
If they typed in – big dog jewelry – then
your title of your ad would show as – big dog jewelry
3 Formats
{keyword:sales line} – results all small
letters
{Keyword:Sales line} – results first
letter of title is capitalized
{KeyWord:Sales Line} – results first
letter of each word in title is capitalized
Remember to test this against other
headlines you come up with to make sure this is helping your clickthroughs

ArticleMarketer.com

Article Submitter
- another article submission tool
Redirect Script
to help with tracking articles - create a file called "index.html" with
your yoursite.com as the refresh address, and put it in a folder on your
site called - article1 - then when you post your articles, let your
credit box show yoursite.com/article1 for people to click and they will
go to that address and then be redirected to your home page at yoursite.com - this way you can track in your website stats
your articles. You can get as simple or as complex as you wish doing this with
specific links for each article directory site and each article you submit. Or
you could have just one folder on your site called - a - that contains all of
your article redirect links, so if you had article #31 posted on article
directory site - articleheaven.com then your credit box could use this linking
to your site: yoursite.com/a/ah31.htm -- where the redirect file is
named "ah31.htm" and it's placed in the "a" folder on your server, and
it redirects to your home page at yoursite.com
